While police officers are generally not diagnosable with PTSD, many of them have some PTSD symptoms due to the nature of the work that they do. The present study illustrates that these symptoms can be beneficially treated with EMDR. In addition, EMDR is somewhat more effective than psychoeducational approaches which have more typically been used with police officers.
